Psychotherapy with Sharon Mann

My approach is grounded in authenticity, genuineness, and unconditional support, ensuring you feel seen and heard in a space free of judgment. Rather than focusing on diagnoses, I prioritise understanding what is happening inside of you as a result of what has happened to you, offering both compassion and empathy for your experiences.

Through integrative somatic trauma therapy, I support not just your thoughts, but your felt experience — creating space for deep, embodied healing at a pace that feels safe and right for you.

Somatic Psychotherapist

I believe healing happens through relationship—the one you have with yourself and the safe, trusting relationship I hope we will build together.

My approach is uniquely tailored to each person, recognising that no two individuals are the same. I don’t see myself as the expert on your life—you are. My role is to walk alongside you with curiosity, compassion, and care as we explore the experiences, patterns, and emotions that feel hard, stuck, or overwhelming.

True transformation happens when we work with the whole of you—mind, body, and soul. This means not only understanding your thoughts (top-down) but also gently tuning into your body and nervous system (bottom-up), where so much of our emotional experience is held.

While the work we do together can sometimes feel tender and challenging, I also believe there’s space for lightness, humour, and play along the way. Healing doesn’t always have to feel heavy—sometimes laughter, creativity, and curiosity create the moments of ease and connection we need most.

There is no fixed path. We move at your pace, trusting your system to guide the process. If this feels like the kind of space you’re looking for, I’d love to connect.

Healing Through Mind-Body Connection

Healing isn’t something that happens in the mind alone. Our bodies hold stories, emotions, and patterns—sometimes long after the mind has tried to make sense of them. The mind and body are not separate; they are in constant conversation, shaping how we feel, respond, and experience the world.

When we tune into this mind-body connection, we begin to notice how thoughts can trigger physical reactions, and how the body often speaks through sensations, tension, or numbness when words are hard to find. By listening to both, we open the door to deeper awareness and real, lasting change.

This work is not about overriding the mind or the body, but about bringing them into relationship—creating space for both insight and felt experience. When we approach healing in this way, we’re not just managing symptoms—we’re supporting true integration, allowing your system to find its own balance, at its own pace.

Through this process, you can build the capacity to stay with yourself—even in the hard places—with curiosity, care, and compassion.

  • I offer a blend of trauma-informed, body-based therapies including Embodied Processing, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Brainspotting. • I hold a Master of Counselling and Psychotherapy (Clinical) from the University of Adelaide and a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) from the University of South Australia. I am a Level 2 Certified Embodied Processing Practitioner, trained in Phase 2 Brainspotting, and have completed Frank Anderson’s Internal Family Systems (IFS) Trauma Treatment. My work is also informed by ongoing training in trauma, attachment, and nervous system regulation.

  • My approach is gentle, collaborative, and trauma-informed—rooted in the belief that true healing happens when we work with the whole person: mind, body, and soul. I use an integrative approach combing Embodied Processing, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Brainspotting, weaving these methods together depending on what feels most supportive for you. Rather than focusing only on talking or problem- solving, I offer space to explore the deeper layers of your experience, including your nervous system responses, emotional patterns, and the parts of you that may have felt unseen or unheard. Above all, I am committed to meeting you where you are, moving at your pace, and holding a compassionate, non-judgmental space where all parts of you are welcome.
