Fees, Medicare, & Private Health Insurance
Psychotherapy is not currently recognised under Medicare, so Mental Health Care Plans and Medicare rebates cannot be used for sessions.
Sessions are privately paid, which allows therapy to continue beyond the 10-session Medicare limit and removes the need for referrals, diagnoses, or review appointments with a GP.
Sessions are typically 60 minutes however 90-minute sessions are available.
To support accessibility while maintaining a sustainable practice, a small sliding scale is available. Clients are invited to select the fee that best reflects their current financial circumstances.
Fee options:
• $185 – Standard rate
• $170 – Reduced rate
• $160 – Lower income rate
• $130 – Concession (students or concession card holders)
NDIS, WorkCover and Return to Work SA clients are charged at the applicable government-set rate.
